It is a matter of great honor and immense pride to serve the prestigious Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions as the Group Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research, Rankings & Accreditation. I feel privileged to contribute to the legacy of academic excellence and transformative leadership that has been the hallmark of this esteemed institution for over a century.
Bahra University is uniquely positioned to drive this change, with a strong foundation, visionary leadership, and a commitment to excellence in both education and research. At the heart of this transformation is the Bahra Research Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (BRIKC)—an integrated, dynamic division created to accelerate research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and capacity building. As I take charge of BRIKC, I see it as an inclusive and vibrant hub that transcends academic disciplines—encompassing Science, Technology, Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Management, and other cognitive domains. It actively facilitates and monitors research-related functions such as high-quality publications, patents and IPRs, sponsored research, consultancy, international collaborations, and outreach activities. Most importantly, it empowers faculty members, researchers, and students to engage meaningfully with real-world challenges.
In collaboration with various schools, departments, and campuses, BRIKC promotes interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary research through structured support mechanisms. It also develops and implements policies that govern responsible and ethical research practices—including data management, research incentives, knowledge dissemination, and collaboration frameworks through strategic MoUs with industries and leading national/international institutions. In addition to research facilitation, BRIKC plays a pivotal role in ensuring institutional quality through IQAC and steering the university's progress in national and global ranking frameworks such as NIRF, QS, and THE Rankings. Our efforts are focused on measurable outcomes, benchmarking best practices, and maintaining academic integrity across all spheres of higher education.
